The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas

I'm so glad I got around to reading this book and that I hadn't seen the film before hand.So powerful and moving. Made the mistake of finishing it in bed just before going to sleep, big mistake! I almost gasped out loud when I realised exactly what was going to happen when the boy had his head shaved,I actually had a physical reaction to that part.I can't decide if I want to see the film or not now, maybe in a while when my own images have dissapated a bit. A while ago I read The Book Thief, it went on my list of books I would recommend without any hesitation, The Boy with the Striped Pyjamas is on there too.So thanks for another great read, even though it led to a sleepless night!
