I have just taught my first lesson on the book 'Beegu' to a Year 1 class. The idea of giving the children a picture of the front cover and asking them to write their initial thoughts and questions on a large piece of paper, worked really well. Infact, if I taught the lesson again, I would base the whole lesson around this activity!
